I photograph Carrie and Edward's wedding in a couple weeks and I am STOKED for it. One of my strengths as a photographer is my ability to relax people in front of the camera, but Carrie and Edward relaxed me.  Ellie, their pup, helped too.  She's a sweety pie.

Every so often during the shoot, I asked if there was a special photo or vibe they wanted to capture, and Carrie just smiled and said, Whatever you think best." Let me tell ya, this is music to a photographer's ears.  *Contented sigh*

And, um, while I'm pretty sure Carrie might kill me when she sees her fun running photos, I HAD to post them.  I can't stop laughing every time I see them. Not just a little laugh...I'm belly-laughing.  Carrie is so beautiful, even when she's being a complete goofball (Edward, you're not so bad yourself).  Yay to goofballs!

It's going to be a fun wedding.

I love photographing family portraits in Chicago, especially with such an adorable family. I especially love little Spencer's beauty mark. It looks like a little bindi.  One of my fave photos is when Spencer is so OVER being kissed by her dad.  I can only imagine how she'll be as a teenager.  hehe. Thanks for making this session such a blast!

Crina and Diran's wedding is proof that a rain-kissed ceremony can be just as lovely as a sunny one.

Right when Crina walked down the aisle, rain started pouring down.  It was such an amazing sight though, because everyone smiled, donned paper/clothing over their heads and encouraged the couple on.  Later Crina told me how she fretted about her guests getting wet, but it was clear to me when Crina and Diran entered the reception that her guests were more worried about the couple not having their envisioned ceremony.  The applause and enthusiasm for the couple was touching.

Crina and Diran, you are so warm and caring that its obvious why your loved ones cheer you on.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day. (P.S. Don't forget to view the slideshow at the end of the post.)
