AKA "Aunt and the Godfather"
As you'll soon see, I'm one lucky aunt. Luzia is beautiful, and I was thrilled to see her baptized on our recent trip to Panama-my husband's home country.
My husband was also thrilled and honored to serve as her godfather or padrino.
I loved watching him dote on her.
"Dé a su tía un beso," my brother-in-law told his infant daughter, Luzia.
"Give your aunt a kiss?" I mentally translated while in shock. It was the first time I'd ever been called tía, Spanish for aunt.

I'm back in the US after visiting my husband's family in Panama. Stay tuned for lots of fun photos from my trip.
While I was away, I was on television in Chicago. Check it out. A big thanks to Karen and Jan for recommending me.

A while back, my husband and I took our two pups, Winston and Murphy, to play at the nearby dog beach. Winston, the beagle mix, loves to greet every newcomer to the park while occasionally checking in to make sure I haven't left him. Murphy, the shep mix, runs and runs, especially along the shoreline. These trips are pure bliss to their little doggie hearts.
I especially love meeting the new dogs who notice my camera. Watching these dogs' funny play antics is pure bliss to my little photographer's heart.

I love the "standoff" photo. I recognize that instant right before the two dogs engage in playing. Too cute!
