Kelli

Kelli Ward is a fantastic photographer and the sweetest thang to come out of Utah to Chicago.  We had a little headshot swap last week when the weather was heavenly. (Oh where oh where did the nice weather go?)  We were both nervous - or, at least I was…you couldn’t tell by looking at Kelli - about being in front of the camera.  My personal happy place is behind one, hence why I can relate to those folks who are nervous by a big lens coming to eat their face and steal their soul. I tease. Cameras only steal a little of your soul.  :)  Anywho.  Enjoy the modern day goddess that is Kelli Ward.  I wish I had green eyes.  *Sigh*

And when you’re done, head over to her blog and say hi and tell me that I look purty and not at all sleep-deprived.  While you’re there, check out her mad photography skills.

Vintage Caitlin

More photos of the lovely Caitlin.  I love the vintage vibe going throughout the photos.

By the way, she did her own make-up and is a Mary Kay entrepreneur.  Feel free to visit her website.

Caitlin…the natural

I had a wonderful photo shoot all around Chicago with the gorgeous Caitlin.  She’s not a model, but as you will see below, she could be.  I also was able to try out my new Nikon D700 and 24-70mm f/2.8 lens along with off-camera flash.  I love the new equipment…completely worth the investment.  I can’t wait to use the new camera at a wedding next weekend.

Caitlin, thank you for the wonderful time around Chicago.  I know you froze, but I hope you find the results worth it!

The Lovely Kim

Doing headshots during winter in Chicago seems like it would be tricky, but really all you need is some light streaming through a window.  Kim is a realtor and she met me at one of her apartments for a quick photoshoot.   In 30 minutes, we we were able to get these photos.  Isn’t she pretty?

Cynthia

I admire Cynthia on so many levels.  Her fire for life and new experiences is inspiring.  When she stopped me to see if I’d photograph her headshots as I was leaving a potential client meeting, I couldn’t help but think how gorgeous she is.  Of course, when she told me about her rescued dog, I knew we’d have fun during her photoshoot.  I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I like dog people.  :)  I also love cat people, since I’m an animal nut.  In fact, I  wanted to be zoo vet and rescue endangered wild cats when I was little.  Wouldn’t Dr. Peacock, the zoo vet, be the perfect professional fit for me?  So if you rescue lions or tigers and need some portraits, sign me up!  But I digress.  Back to the lovely Cynthia…

Lisa

Oh Lisa, Lisa.  You are so beautiful and photogenic.  Doesn’t she remind you of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy?

Lisa is a realtor and works with some of the other equally beautiful and talented women at @properties.  When I met her for her photoshoot, she was giving directions to a tourist who seemed completely lost.  She was incredible patient throughout the process and made sure he understood the directions - exactly the kind of patience you’d want in a realtor.  She’s also a go-getter and has been super excited to see her portraits so she can continue developing her brand.  Thanks Lisa for your enthusiasm.  Enjoy!

Lisa gotta love the windy city
