Steven and Jessica: Engaged!!!

I’m a sucker for surprises, so when Steven contacted me to photograph his engagement proposal to his girlfriend, Jessica, I literally squealed with glee.  (As you may already know, I’m rather dorky.  The squeals continue to prove this sad little fact.)

Steven and Jessica took the train into Chicago from Michigan for a little romantic getaway and diamond ring capper.

After Jessica said yes, the nice carriage company, Antique Coach & Carriage, took us around the Magnificent Mile so we could capture some fun engagement photos.

Thank you Steven and Jessica for making a sappy romantic very, very happy.  By the way, my boyfriend who assisted in lighting the photos, says CONGRATS!  Warmest wishes!!!  You can see more photos from this session on my facebook page here.

Sneak Peek: She said YES!!

I had the joy and opportunity to photograph a wedding proposal in Chicago Sunday night.

Here are some highlights.  More to come…

Isla Grande, Panama

Oh to be back in this warmth. *Sigh* Of course I was dripping with sweat, but still…

Isla Grande is where the city-dwelling Panamanians go to relax, drink coconut milk, and forget the awful city traffic. This is my boyfriend’s version of paradise. For me, well, not so much. Don’t get me wrong, it’s GORGEOUS, but I couldn’t get used to the nonworking bathrooms and 1.5 hours it took for me to get my meal even when everyone else at my table was served. Crazy. But that’s life when you don’t have a care in the world when you get to enjoy these sights on a regular basis. Everything slllllllooooowwws down. (Of, I guess I didn’t like it so much because it’s where my Canon G9 fell into the ocean. My fault, but my heart still hurts a little. May it RIP.)

(In the midst of changing my blog to another web hosting company, I lost a couple comments and posts.  Sorry if some of these photos look familiar.)

Tina’s girls

Tina, who was my childhood best friend, and I got together over Thanksgiving for a nice lunch.  We could have sat together all afternoon catching up.  It was so wonderful to see her beautiful family too.  Here are her lovely lil’ ladies.

Sneak Peek: Panama

I just returned from my vacation to Panama and I am exhausted!  Please give me a few days to get back to all of the e-mails and phone calls while I was away.  I have a lot of catching up to do.

After looking at these photos of paradise you might ask me why I’m tired…well, I visited the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, and Caribbean Sea in one week.  I also took over 800 photos and learned a lot of Spanish.  Expect to see more photos over the next few weeks.
