Hello, I’m Laurie

I’m an award-winning lifestyle and documentary family photographer with over ten years of experience. Originally a wedding photographer, I now use my quick photojournalistic skills to photograph families. Before photography, I was in public relations and politics. In addition to being a photographer and small business owner,  I’m a wife and mom to five-year-old boy and girl twins and a three-year-old girl. As you can imagine, I’m pretty good at multi-tasking.

Just like mine, your family life is uniquely beautiful.

It might also be messy and logistically stressful with all kinds of crazy. But it’s yours. You’ve probably wished a dozen times you could bottle up and savor those hugs, tiny hands, and sweet laughter. You can.

I love creating a safe environment where people can truly be the best version of themselves. I encourage interactions and help people create new memories together.  I thrive seeing relationships and their special intricacies. I love belly-flopping, hair-raising adoration. Soothing hugs.

In my family documentary photos, I want to see the connection between people. Images that say more than “this is what they are doing”…a moment in which we can all relate to on some higher level.

I get all emotional thinking about what made me fall in love with photography: the ability to record these indelible moments with the people you love.
