Cold winter winds don’t have to hinder your family photo plans. This fun family was willing to do something a little special. We began portraits inside the Chicago Cultural Center off of Washington and Michigan and finished at nearby Stanley’s Donuts on Michigan.

Having a fun reward for kids after a family shoot is a plan I can get behind. It’s so hard for little ones to stop squirming and pay attention to the redhead behind the camera. While I know lots of tricks to make kids enjoy their portrait session experience, a treat like a donut or ice cream is a surefire bribe way to keep the littles engaged. Also, I love capturing gooey faces.
